Deutsche Bank has partnered with the National Housing Resource Center (“NHRC”) to organize a consumer outreach event in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, May 18, 2019, that will focus on providing educational programing on homeownership options, housing counseling, and loan modifications, including information from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency. The National Housing Resource Center ( is a nonprofit with a stated mission to facilitate collaboration between nonprofit housing counseling agencies and assist communities of color, the elderly, low-to-moderate income populations, and other underserved communities.

The Settlement Agreement between the Department of Justice and Deutsche Bank requires Deutsche Bank to hold or sponsor three consumer outreach events each year in geographically dispersed locations. Deutsche Bank will sponsor and participate in the NHRC event, including by sending representatives from the Bank’s Consumer Relief Group (“CRG”); the CRG, which plays a key role in implementing the Bank’s consumer relief obligations under the Settlement Agreement, will be available to respond to inquiries from the public regarding the Bank’s activities to date. Representatives of the Monitor also will attend the event.
